A Walk Through the Identity Ecosystem in 3D

Saturday, March 14
11:00AM - 12:00PM

JW Marriott
Salon 4
110 E 2nd St

The evolution of the Identity Ecosystem has become a critical aspect of our society. The growth of e-government, online banking and shopping, electronic health records, and globalization has created opportunities for greater convenience, efficiency, and innovation—but it also allows individuals to present themselves as someone else for fraudulent and other illegal purposes.

The Center for Identity at The University of Texas is actively pursuing research that advances our understanding of the structure and behavior of the Identity Ecosystem. Our cradle-to-grave “maps” of identity for persons, organizations, and devices provide a foundation for defining the “physics” of the Ecosystem and allow us to predict and mitigate identity threats. We can also determine the risk levels and entry points within the ecosystem, define the types and evolutions of threats, and understand the value associated with our identities.

Let us give you a tour, glasses included.
